1. Introduction
Laila Dating Inc. (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates SlidrAI (the “Service”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect information when you use the Service. It also describes your rights and choices regarding your information.
By using the Service, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
2. What SlidrAI Is and How It Works
SlidrAI is an AI-powered conversation assistant that helps users generate opener ideas using publicly available profile content. The Service does not require an account, an email address, or an Instagram login.
How the Service operates:
- You paste a public Instagram profile URL into the app.
- Our backend retrieves only publicly visible profile information through a third-party public data API (Apify) — we do not log in to Instagram on your behalf, we do not access private accounts, and we do not bypass any authentication.
- The publicly available content is analyzed by Anthropic’s AI service to produce opener suggestions and a Common Ground summary.
- Results are returned to your device. A short-lived cache (see Section 5) may store the analysis to make repeat requests faster.
SlidrAI is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Instagram, Meta Platforms, Inc., or any of their subsidiaries. We do not use Instagram’s trademarks, logos, or branding.
SlidrAI does not scrape, crawl, monitor, scan, or systematically harvest data from Instagram. We process only publicly available profile content the user explicitly submits.
3. Information We Collect
3.1 Information You Provide
Because SlidrAI has no user accounts, the only information you actively provide is:
- Public Instagram profile URLs you paste into the app.
- Any direct communications you send to us (e.g., support requests sent to contact@laila.nyc).
3.2 Information Collected Automatically
When you use the Service, the following may be collected automatically for operational and diagnostic purposes:
- Log data (IP address, request timestamps, error events).
- Device information (operating system, device model, app version).
- Crash and performance diagnostics.
We do not request the App Tracking Transparency (“ATT”) permission. We do not access the IDFA. We do not track you across other companies’ apps or websites.
3.3 Public Profile Content You Submit
When you paste a public Instagram profile URL, we retrieve publicly available content associated with that profile (such as bio, recent public posts, and follower count) through a third-party public data API. We do not access private profiles. We do not access content that is not publicly visible.
Public profile content is processed transiently to generate opener suggestions and is not stored in a user-identifiable way (see Section 5: Data Retention).
3.4 Subscription and Purchase Data
If you purchase a subscription, the transaction is processed by Apple’s App Store and (optionally) RevenueCat, our subscription management provider. We receive a non-identifying purchase confirmation. We do not receive or store your payment card details.
4. How We Use Information
We use the information collected for the following purposes only:
- To operate the Service — process the URL you paste and return opener suggestions.
- To maintain reliability — detect errors, fix bugs, and prevent abuse.
- To comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms.
- To process subscription payments (handled by Apple).
We do not use the content you submit to train AI models. We do not sell personal information.
5. How We Share Information
5.1 Service Providers
We share limited information with the following service providers strictly for the purpose of operating the Service:
- Apify — retrieves publicly available Instagram profile content via its public data API.
- Anthropic, PBC — provides the underlying large language model that generates opener suggestions. Your submitted content is processed by Anthropic under its data processing terms; per Anthropic’s policy, API inputs are not used to train their models.
- Apple, Inc. — processes subscription payments via the App Store and provides anonymous app analytics if you opt in via iOS settings.
- RevenueCat, Inc. — (if and when implemented) manages subscription entitlement on our behalf. RevenueCat receives a non-identifying subscriber ID, not personal information.
Each provider is contractually obligated to protect the information we share and to use it only to provide services to us.
5.2 AI service processing
When you tap “Read the room” in the app, the following data is transmitted to third-party AI services for the sole purpose of generating opener suggestions:
- To Apify, Inc. (“Apify”): the public Instagram URL you pasted into the app, used by Apify’s public data API to retrieve publicly visible profile content (such as the bio, recent public posts, and follower count associated with that handle). We do not transmit any information that identifies you to Apify. Apify processes this request under its own terms of service and privacy policy, available at https://apify.com/privacy-policy.
- To Anthropic, PBC (“Anthropic”): the publicly available profile content returned by Apify in the step above, used by Anthropic’s Claude large language model to generate the opener suggestions, vibe summary, and Common Ground analysis returned to the app. We do not transmit any information that identifies you to Anthropic. Per Anthropic’s API terms (https://www.anthropic.com/legal/privacy), API inputs and outputs are not used to train Anthropic’s models.
Both Apify and Anthropic are contractually obligated to provide a level of privacy protection at least equivalent to ours under the agreements that govern our use of their services. We do not transmit your name, email address, Apple ID, device identifier, payment information, or any other personal identifier to either service.
We obtain your express consent before transmitting any data to either service. The first time you tap “Read the room” in the app, you must review and accept a disclosure screen describing this processing. You can revoke that consent at any time from Settings → Privacy, after which the disclosure will be shown again before the next analysis.
5.3 Legal Requirements
We may disclose information if required by law, subpoena, court order, or government request, or if we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to comply with applicable law, protect rights or safety, or prevent fraud.
5.4 Business Transfers
In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of all or a portion of our assets, information may be transferred as part of the transaction. We will provide notice within the Service before such a transfer.
5.5 With Your Consent
We may share information for other purposes with your explicit consent.
6. Data Retention
We retain information only as long as necessary to operate the Service:
- Public profile content cache (backend): cached for up to seven (7) days to make repeat requests faster, then automatically purged. The cache is keyed by the public Instagram handle, not by you.
- Your local history (on-device): stored on your device only (using iOS AsyncStorage) and is removed when you delete the app. We do not see or sync this list.
- Diagnostic logs: retained for up to thirty (30) days for debugging and abuse prevention, then deleted or anonymized.
- Subscription transaction records: retained as required by tax, accounting, and contractual obligations.
To request earlier deletion, email contact@laila.nyc.
7. Your Rights and Choices
7.1 Access and Deletion
You may request a copy or deletion of any information associated with your use of the Service by emailing contact@laila.nyc. We will respond within thirty (30) days.
7.2 Opt-Out of Diagnostic Sharing
You can disable iOS analytics sharing in your device’s Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements.
7.3 California Residents (CCPA)
If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (“CCPA”) gives you the right to know what personal information we process, to delete it (subject to limited exceptions), and to be free from discrimination for exercising these rights. We do not sell personal information. To exercise your rights, contact contact@laila.nyc. We may verify your identity before processing your request.
7.4 Do Not Track
Our Service does not currently respond to browser “Do Not Track” signals. SlidrAI is a mobile application; web tracking is not applicable to most of our use.
8. Data Security
We implement administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction. Measures include encryption of data in transit (TLS) and access controls.
However, no method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security. In the event of a data breach that affects your rights, we will notify you as required by applicable law.
9. Children’s Privacy
The Service is rated 17+ and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or under 16 in jurisdictions that apply the higher threshold). If we become aware that information from a child has been collected without parental consent, we will promptly delete it. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact contact@laila.nyc.
10. International Data Transfers
Laila Dating Inc. is based in the United States. If you are accessing the Service from outside the United States, please be aware that information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States, where data protection laws may differ from those in your country. By using the Service, you consent to such transfer, and we will take appropriate measures to ensure your information receives adequate protection in accordance with applicable law.
11. Third-Party Links and Services
The Service may contain links to third-party websites or integrate with third-party services. This Privacy Policy does not apply to those third-party services. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party services you access through our Service.
12. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the new Policy within the Service and updating the “Last Updated” date at the top of this document. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date of the revised Policy constitutes acceptance of the changes.
